Here’s the Winning Ducks!! Congratulations to:

1^st Prize $25,000 - Alanna and Gord Bentham

2^nd Prize - $1000 Home Hardware Gift Certificate sponsored by Home Hardware and National Car and Truck Rental - Robin Woodman

3^rd Prize - $500 Canadian Tire Gift Certificate - Kim Sefert

Each year for the past 35 years, the Rotary Club of Terrace have held a Wild Duck Race to raise funds for Rotary's community service projects. This year 3100 Duck tickets were sold and the Club raised $62 000.

Many Ducks are acquired by the thousands of Parade-watchers at the annual Riverboat Days Parade. The holiday Monday saw ducks flying as Canadian Helicopters dropped the Ducks into the Skeena. Downstream a kilometer is the finish line where riverboats enthusiastically scooped these up before escaping to unknown destinations. Happy to say all were recovered and these ducks are resting comfortably in the Duck House for the winter.
