Congratulations to Elliott Good – this year's winner of $25,000, in the Terrace Rotary Wild Duck Race.

Elliott's ticket number matched the plastic duck that was the first to cross the finish line in the 2026 race – an annual event that is an integral part of Terrace Riverboat Days.

A total of 4,000 tickets were sold in one of the Rotary Club's major fundraisers.  The proceeds are used to fund various community projects and organizations.

Three other prizes were awarded:   second prize went to Andrew Versolatto, who won a ½-hour helicopter ride courtesy of Canadian Helicopters;  third prize was won by Chris Collins, who receives a $500 gift card from Canada Safeway;  and fourth prize was taken by Mona Houlden, who receives a $500 gift card from Canadian Tire.

A big thank you to everyone who purchased tickets this year – your purchase ensures the Rotary Club of Terrace can continue to fund worthy projects and groups in the Terrace area.

Also a big thank you to Emil Anderson for traffic control on the Dudley Little Bridge during the race and Canadian Helicopters for dropping the ducks – and to our many volunteers out in those boats, scooping up the ducks and passing them to even more volunteers who loaded them onto the waiting truck. You were awesome!
